About this Space

The Esplanade is an iconic heritage hotel in the heart of Devonport. Situated on the sparkling waterfront, a mere minute from the ferry services, this location could not be more ideal for your event. Our hotel venue provides refined elegance, friendly staff and service and freshly made delicious food and beverage options. As we also have 15 guest rooms and an onsite cafe, bar and restaurant, everything you need is here for you and your guests.
The Tea room is a quaint and private space that is perfect for smaller meetings, events and gatherings. Tastefully decorated in period style with vintage teapots, dresser and wallpaper, this space works really well for afternoon teas, baby showers, hen parties and other special celebrations.

We have a number of package options for this room. If you purchase one of these options, room hire is included. Please use ESPLANADE_BUNDLE at checkout to reduce room hire charges to $0.

Baby Shower or Hen Party: $59 per person, minimum 10 guests. Glass of bubbles or juice, Afternoon tea served on vintage tea and cake stands. Afternoon tea includes a selection of freshly baked savouries, cakes and sweets along with guests choice of tea, room set up to your configuration and private use of the Tea Room.

Celebration Lunch: $75 per person, minimum 10 guests. Glass of wine/beer or soft drink from the bar, 2 course set lunch, tea or coffee, celebration cake for the group, room set up to your configuration and private use of the Tea Room

Celebration Private Dinner: $89 per person, minimum 10 guests, Glass of wine/beer or soft drink from the bar, 3 course set menu, tea or coffee, celebration cake for the group, room set up to your configuration and private use of the Tea Room

Food & Drink
We have a number of delicious options to make catering for your guests. These can easily be pre-ordered by selecting at checkout. We will reach out to you to finalise dietary requirements 10 days before the event at the latest.
Morning Tea: $15 per guest, Includes Espresso coffee, tea or juice and 2 of the following: Gluten free orange and almond slice, warm sugar spice madeleines, double chocolate brownie, berry muffin.
Lunch: $25 per guest - 1 item each from our seasonal A la carte menu (salads, burgers, wraps and pizzas)
Afternoon Tea: $15 per guest Includes Espresso coffee, tea or juice and 2 of the following: Gluten free orange and almond slice, warm sugar spice madeleines, double chocolate brownie, berry muffin or scone with jam and cream.
Standard High Tea: $49 per person - selection of scones, sandwiches and delightful deserts served on vintage china with Harney tea or Espresso Coffee.
Celebration Tea: $59 - as above with a glass of bubbles.
Set Menu Dinner: $55/65 per person, 2/3 courses - arranged on discussion per your requirements.
Example menu: Halloumi Salad, Lamb Shank & Truffle Mash, Apple Crumble and Ice Cream.
