About this Space

Garnet Station is a much loved local institution. World famous in Westmere for their eclectic, colourful and heritage pizzeria, garden and theatre space, this is a true one of a kind. Friendship, hospitality, pride and community is etched into the grain of our beautiful space, that we love to share with our neighbourhood, artists, creatives and other wonderful humans.

The whole venue is available for private parties, weddings, celebrations and retreats - or talk to us about what you would like to use it for!

The venue hire includes use of all these spaces:

Tiny Theatre - a perfect intimate space nestled in our garden that seats 35. This is a great space for holding your wedding, renewing vows or hosting a presentation or talk.

The Secret Garden - a lush oasis in the city for sunny drinks in the day and fairy lit festivities in the evening.

The Dining Room and Jade Lounge - a homely and private space for dining, talking or gathering

Majenta Bar - a quirky, chic and beautiful small bar that spills out onto the pavement for sunset sipping.

The Lane - festoon lit space connecting the main venue to the garden. For casual gatherings and chattings.

We have toilets, wifi, chairs, tables and plenty of furniture for you to be flexible with the space layout. We can also support with flowers and decorations.

The venue hire is $100 an hour, and there is a minimum spend on food and drinks that depends on your event and the time of year.

Whole Venue:

Nov-Feb - $3000 minimum hire 

Mar-Oct - $2000 minimum hire

Your party will be staffed and we will work with you on the flow of the day and your catering & alcohol needs.

Wining & Dining

We will work with you to provide meal options that work for you - either a lavish & delicious bespoke menu can be created or you can keep it easy and have us fire up the pizza oven and your guests can order from our pizza menu. In the on site kitchen we use free range eggs, organic meat and local produce. We recycle, reuse, upcycle, compost, worm farm and love to have fun! We also have options for kids parties, platters and much more. We also have a licensed bar serving a carefully curated selection of NZ wine and craft beer. We also make incredible cocktails. You can opt to pay upfront for a bar tab or have a cash bar for your guests. 

Celebrant

Verity George is an experienced celebrant who would be delighted to officiate your ceremony. Please book the celebrant option at checkout to include this in your day. Verity will work with you and your partner to design a ceremony that works for you.

Location

We’re on beautiful & historic Garnet road in the sunny beach village Westmere. We love our neighbourhood and are a short walk from Western Springs Park, the village and beautiful Meola reef reserve, with views across to Te Atatu.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, no refunds on cancellation.
Parking and Public Transport Information

We’re opposite the bus stop for the 105 which get’s you to Britomart in about 25 mins and is a really regular service. Parking is free and residential.
