Tawa Scout Hall

The Scout Law is “Have Respect. Do What is Right. Be Positive.” We ask that everyone hiring our Hall follow this Law.

Leave the hall as you find it: Please ensure all chairs/tables are returned, rubbish/recycling is removed and the kitchen is left clean (please unplug the fridge, turn off the zip and check all taps are fully off before returning the key). We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of $250 if this term is breached.

Kitchen: If you intend to use the kitchen we recommend bringing your own cookware and dining-ware. We are a Scout Hall so most of what we have is designed for camping and is well-used.

Evening Hires: all evening hires must end no later than 11pm. We ask that noise outside the hall be kept to a minimum out of respect for our neighbours.

The Park/Playground: Use of the park and playground is not included in the Hall hire. These are shared Council-owned facilities and can be used by anyone, subject to their rules and by-laws. We are not responsible for the maintenance of these facilities.

Damage: costs associated with any damage made to the hall or equipment during your hire will be payable by you.

Responsibility: please take care when using the hall and facilities – we do not take responsibility for any injury or lost/damaged items during your hire.

Use: We reserve the right to decline hire requests for any reason. We do not hire the Hall for 21st Birthday parties. We do not hire to anyone under the age of 18 unless a parent or guardian will be present for the entire hire and signs the hire agreement.
