About this space

Heathcote Cultural Precinct offers venues for hire within a range of historic buildings nestled among manicured gardens with picturesque surrounds and Swan River views.

Swan House Meeting Room (pictured) is a flexible space suitable for small group meetings, workshops, presentations and co-working.

The space accommodates 14 and includes a storage room with access to 14 chairs and 4 trestle tables. The building also contains a kitchenette, accessible toilets, foyer and easy access to the playground and stunning grounds of the Reserve. The kitchenette includes a full-size fridge, microwave, stove and oven, urn, cups and saucers. A projector can be provided upon request for an additional fee.

Heathcote Cultural Precinct is home to Heathcote Museum & Gallery, artist studios, workshop spaces, a world class restaurant and a popular children's playground. Please note that this room is located next to the Childrens School of Contemporary Art so there may be some overflowing noise from their classes.

Rules

Hire period: All set-up and clean-up must be done within your period of hire, so make sure your booking allows for this time There is a minimum 2 hour hire.

Cleaning: The hirer is responsible for the set up and clean up of the venue hired. Set up and clean up must be done within the time of hire, not outside of the booking. Hirers must bring their own cleaning products.

Liquor: A liquor consumption licence is required to consume alcohol at Heathcote. This licence must be purchased in-person at least one week prior to the function from Heathcote Museum & Gallery. More information: https://tinyurl.com/rkb3tfd

Security: Hirers must collect the venue key from Heathcote Museum & Gallery during the week (Tuesday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm or Saturday and Sunday 12noon to 4.00pm) prior to the function date. The hirer will be given an alarm code for the building hired. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the alarm is de-activated and re-activated properly and that the venue is fully locked on the completion of their booking. Penalties will apply if security personnel are called out. Keys must be returned promptly after the function – for your convenience a locked drop-box (via the brass letterbox flap) is located at the doorway to Administration Building, available 24 hours, seven days.

Please note: Weekends and public holidays – all bookings/hirers will be jointly accountable for cleaning and damage costs. It is the hirer’s responsibility to check existing condition of venue at time of hiring and upon arrival, reporting any anomalies immediately to management.
