School Hall for hire in Grey Lynn perfect for kids birthday parties and groups

Richmond Road School has a fantastic hall space that is available for hire outside of school hours. The hire includes access to the school playground, making this a perfect option for kids birthday parties. The hall gets all day sunshine and has plenty of space. It would be suitable for classes and groups, screenings and film nights, dance practice or rehearsals, parties, filming and lots more.

Hireage of the hall includes:

• Piano

• Use of the kitchen

• Chairs

In addition to this, you can hire tables. Please add to your booking at checkout. If you are a commercial hirer (e.g. you are a business or you're charging attendees for your event, the fee is $60 per hour. Each booking will incur a $250 refundable bond. Please see the details below in the SpaceProtect section below.

Hours

The hall is available from 7.30am until 11pm but we prefer it to be rented for shorter time periods below:

For a day time activity : Example 9-3 pm

For an evening activity : Example 4pm - 11pm

If you require it for the full day, please apply by email first with a description of your activity.

Catering and Kitchen

The kitchen can be used to heat up and serve food. There is an oven and a microwave. Please bring all crockery and cutlery, glasses etc. There is no jug/kettle and the fridge cannot be used to store food. You can use the dishwasher. The hall, including kitchen and toilets, must be left as you found it, or if you cannot commit to this, then please purchase the cleaning fee at checkout. It's fine to use external caterers and bring in your own food. You can serve alcohol but if you intend to sell it, you will need to purchase a licence from Auckland Council. Please note these can take 25 days to process. There is no BBQ but you are welcome to bring your own. You must pack out all your rubbish.

Your event

You may decorate the hall, but please include enough time in your booking to set up and pack down. Please use blu tac and not pins. You can also use event hire suppliers for furniture etc. There is vehicle access to the hall for pack in/out. If you require vehicle access, please mention this so we can confirm gate access instructions. Vehicle access is just for organisers and not parking for guests. You can have a DJ or a band in the space and they will need to bring all their own kit. This is a residential area, so noise levels must be reasonable and no amplified sound after 11pm.

Regular hirers

We welcome applications for regular hire of the hall. It is available weekends and evenings. It would suit dance classes, kids activity groups, martial arts and many other activities. Accessibility

The hall is wheelchair accessible. There are toilets in the hall building, but no disabled toilet. There is vehicle access to the hall for pack in/out. To unlock the hall you will need to collect a key at reception during school hours and return it.
