The caretakers at Sandy Cape Recreation Park are just lovely and make you feel at home. The campgrounds are great and I will be back again.

Unfortunately we were unable to park our van as the site is extremely steep and to park our jayco easel was impossible. We tried a couple of times but the site is small and not level. A roof top tent or swags would be fantastic as the view was marvellous and a beautiful tree to sit under. However we did not get to experience due to the unevenness of the site

For Site 35 the provided information clearly notes the site is suitable for campers with swags, tents, vehicle only and roof top campers. We're glad you could still appreciate the positives of the beautiful location.

Campsite 35 was hardly fit for a ground tent let alone a rooftop tent. Uneven ground, overhanging tree. Rip off.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
