About this space

Rochester Shire Hall, a heritage-listed building and the centerpiece of our town, is available for hire for events and functions. This historic venue can accommodate up to 300 people, making it an ideal setting for large gatherings and special occasions. There is a kitchen on-site that can also be used.

Public Liability Insurance is required for all bookings. Prior to your booking being approved you will be asked to send this. If you do not currently have this cover you can follow the below links for a quote:

Cleaning rates: If you do not add on the correct rate it will be amened upon approving your booking

If you are hosting a major event such as a large function or Wedding or there will be alcohol usage and a $500 bond will be required prior to your booking.

Community groups: "Community Group Major Event Cleaning" charge at checkout.

Private/Commercial groups: Please add on either:

  • "Floor steam cleaning" charge at checkout. Reduced service requires the hirer to clean the full Hall, kitchen and toilets

  • "Major Event Cleaning - Full Service" charge at checkout. Full service includes cleaning of the toilets and floors

100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.
