The hub for arts, creativity, classes, workshops, performances, events, parties and meetings in Auckland.

About this space

UXBRIDGE has 3 large spacious art studio spaces. They can be hired if they are not in use with the UXBRIDGE programme and during our centre open hours.

The art studios are equipped for all creative art and craft activities. Each individual studio has seating and tables for up to 25 people. They are equipped with large whiteboards and each has a screen with HDMI cables and USB ports so attendees can view and hear audio and visual content. These are not TVs but there is free WIFI in the spaces.

Each studio space is perfect for private painting, drawing or creative classes, workshops, teaching, demonstrations, filming. It also works well for breakout areas, team building, hen parties, art parties, pop up painting or making events or one-off art experiences.

Let us know if you would like to run a course here. We hope we can support this, but it is subject to our existing programmes being complementary to your idea.

PLEASE NOTE: This space is not currently available on Sundays.

Equipment:

Tables and chairs for up to 25

LCD 40" Screen

Wifi

Table top Easels

If you’re hosting your team or customers, the foyer has plenty of room for meeting before the session and our onsite cafe can provide that all important caffeine fix.

Food & Drink

We have an onsite cafe serving delicious lunch options, or if you need to grab and go, we have super tasty counter options.

We can also specifically cater your event. We can work with you on morning tea & lunch options to suit your budget. Just message us for details.

The cafe is licensed, and we can sell your guests alcohol. Arrangements can be made for you to self-cater but this should be discussed before booking the space.

We are situated just 50 metres from the main centre of Howick where there are many cafes, restaurants, bars and bakeries.

Location & Access:

The centre is located minutes from Howick village town centre. Access is at the front of the building. Howick is connected to Auckland’s CBD via bus and ferry and bus stops are located on either end of Picton Street. There are also bus connections from Manukau & South Auckland and local services within East Auckland

The toilets are fully wheelchair accessible.

Part of the fun and team building can be getting everyone together on a bus or ferry from Auckland to Half Moon Bay Marina or even Pine Harbour at Beachlands – and then coach. We can arrange that for you!

Parking:

UXBRIDGE shares a small car park with the Early Learning Centre, comprising 7 parking spaces (including two disabled parking spots) and a drop-off zone. You may use the drop-off zone before your class to drop off any materials you have and park nearby.

There is all day parking along Uxbridge Road and a public car park across the road. There is also parking along Selwyn Road and The Glebe, accessible via the Selwyn Road pathway, which leads directly to the UXBRIDGE Studios.
