About this space
The Birkenhead Scout Hall is available to use for birthday parties, classes, workshops, meetings, photoshoots etc. The character-filled hall located on the foreshore of Little Shoal Bay is a great spot for birthday parties, gatherings and events. It is sited adjacent the public BBQ area and playground in the Little Shoal Bay Reserve and is a great wet-weather backup. Folding tables and resin chairs are available for use. There is a large outdoor grassy area (public access) as well and plenty of free parking in the area.
The Den (hall) is available for bookings at times that it is not being used by our group for Scouting activities. We will contact you immediately should your booking coincide with any planned or unexpected Scouting activity.
Please book with enough time to pack in/pack out, set up etc as there may be other groups booked before or after your booking.

Rules
Please note there are noise & time restrictions as our hall is located in a public reserve with gates that are locked at sun-down. This venue may not be suitable for certain types of parties or events such as evening disco’s, 21st birthday parties, sports group parties and band practices etc. Please contact us for further info and to discuss your booking requirements.
Please check kitchen, toilets & floors are in the same condition as you found them and take all rubbish with you when you leave the venue. Rubbish left in our bins may result in extra charges.
For some bookings we may charge a bond which is refunded after your event should there be no damage or extra cleaning required.
As our hall is located in a public reserve, please check with Auckland Council before making your booking to ensure that your event does not clash with any scheduled events that may affect parking, outdoor space, noise etc.
Additional details
Plenty of free parking is available near to the hall but be aware that parking may be limited at peak times. Additional free parking is available across the road from the Little Shoal Bay reserve outside the Bowling Club (no gates).
