Mundaring Oval

Mundaring Oval, located in the Mundaring Recreation Ground has been a community and sporting area since it was cleared in July 1901 and used as the Mundaring Showgrounds in the 1920s and 1930s. The surrounding Jarrah and Marri trees form a stunning backdrop for this oval that continues to serve the community well.

The recreation reserve where the oval is located also has Mundaring Arena, Mundaring Hardcourts, a playground, and the Mundaring Sports Club which has two artificial lawn bowling greens and an 18-hole golf and disc golf course.

Facilities include:

• 165m x 125m reticulated natural turf sports field

• Can cater for senior AFL, cricket, and little athletics

• Artificial turf cricket pitch

• Seasonal AFL goalposts

• 150 lux sports floodlighting with six towers and LED lamps

• Four cricket practice nets

• Two 40m rubberised long jump runs and a 12m x 8m long jump sandpit

• Home and away change rooms, umpire room, public toilets, and covered veranda with tiered seating

• Access to Mundaring Oval Pavilion which has a large function club room toilets and a kiosk

• Children's playground

• Water fountain and tap

• Defibrillator

Seasonal sporting clubs operate regularly at this oval and, as a result, casual hire is limited. Please see the Booking Schedule for available times. Applications for organised sporting use/training which conflicts with seasonal sporting codes may be declined.
