About this space

Looking to host your next gig?  Want a creative and cool place for your next exhibition?  Searching for somewhere to run your yoga class? 

MoveSpace has got you covered.  

Our downstairs area is a unique and versatile  space available evenings and weekends for your  next event - whatever that may be. 

We've hosted everything from Yoga to Comedy Gigs, Potlucks to Sofar Sounds events, Art Exhibitions to Craft Markets - even a Wedding!

At $30/hour - we've got WiFi, chairs, projector, whiteboards, PA & mics (anything you'd possibly need for a successful event).  We can comfortably accommodate around 45 people for your event - depending on what you’re hosting.  If you have specific requirements for your booking - let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate. 

We’re pretty open to letting you do your thing and move things around as you like them - all we ask is you leave things as you found them and tidy up after the event. 

All the money goes to supporting our creative community, supporting people to do more of what they love, so you can feel good having your event here too!

We're a creative community space on Dominion Road.

MoveSpace is (among many things) a co-working space, an events centre and a podcast studio.  This can mean there are often lots of things happening at once - we ask you to be mindful of others and the different spaces being used. 

We’re also a totally inclusive space and celebrate diversity - we hope this makes you feel safe and we ask that you also keep this in mind when it comes to your booking.

Rules

Setting Up

During the day our event space is also where our co-working members work and create. This mean's you'll most likely want to move things around. Feel free to set up the space as you need - there is also a handy guidebook in the room that will let you know where everything goes.

During your Event

Use the space as you need too but be mindful it is home to a thriving community. We absolutely encourage curiosity and engagement and understand people will want to explore - please just remember to treat our space with aroha and respect. If anything breaks - don't worry! Just tell us :)

Leaving

All we ask is for you to leave the room as you found it - make sure to return all chairs and tables back to their original places. Don't forget to turn off any heaters, lights etc and wipe down the tables if needed.  Any dishes/mugs can be washed in the kitchen (at the back of the building).

Please make sure all doors are locked and the building is secure.

Great news! There is tonnes of free parking available in our surrounding streets and we're just seconds away from two bus stops (Stop 8416 & 8147)
