About this space
Moera Community House Lounge
The Moera Community House Lounge is a versatile and inviting venue inside the Moera Community House, which is conveniently located next to a spacious car park plus the Moera Neighbourhood Hub (Library) and a vibrant children’s playground.
The carpeted meeting room (8m x 4.5m) seats up to 25 in a presentation setup and is equipped with a heat pump and heater. The house and lounge has wheelchair access, plus adjacent kitchen and a bathroom with toilet. The kitchen includes a microwave, oven, small fridge, hot water zip, kettle, crockery, cutlery, and complimentary coffee, tea, and sugar. Shops and good takeaways are a short walk away.
The lounge is well-equipped with 30 chairs, 6 children’s stools, five 1800mm x 750mm trestle tables, four children’s tables, a large 3000mm wall-mounted whiteboard (please bring your own markers) and good WiFi. It is perfect for a range of activities, from support groups, discussion sessions, and small seminars to workshops, meetings, and music rehearsals. The lounge is also popular for small dance and exercise groups e.g. yoga.
The kitchen opens onto a safe, fenced grassy area, and with the Moera children’s playground nearby, the lounge is also a good choice for children’s parties and playgroup activities.
