About this space
Located in Deloraine, the Meander Valley Performing Arts Centre is an incredibly diverse facility with use by several different organisations from the arts to sporting organisations utilizing the space. The centre boasts a little theatre which can host arts and culture performances and movies and an indoor stadium which can host indoor events such as markets, trade shows, sport and leisure or other medium sized events.
The crown jewel of the Performing Arts Centre is the ‘little theatre’ built in 1896. A magical space for bringing art to life through theatrical performances, plays, productions, movie showings, dance, and musical performances. With seating from the princess theatre, the ‘little theatre’ holds 150 people and audiovisual equipment can be hired from the Western Film Society or Deloraine Dramatic Society which can be organised with the Meander Valley Council.
The venue also boats a full kitchen with serving doors, and a foyer which features a bar for pre- and post-performance canapes. Dressing rooms are available for performers.
Along with the Little Theatre, the centre boasts an indoor stadium space which is home to table tennis, inline skating, fencing and different forms of martial arts. The space is suitable for both physical activities and exhibition events.
The centre is also currently home to the Deloraine Squash Club with two courts available to hire through the Meander Valley Visitor Centre. The Meander Valley Council is currently building a new squash centre at the Deloraine Community Complex with completion scheduled for September 2024.

If you have included the hire of the Audiovisual equipment in your booking, we will reach out to you for the organisation of an operator of the Audiovisual equipment.
This booking does not include access to the facility's lighting equipment. The equipment and volunteer operators can be hired from the following contacts. Please contact the relevant organisation at least 6 weeks prior to your booking.

If hiring the kitchen, it is the hirer's responsibility that the kitchen and all crockery/cutlery used has been cleaned and put away after use.
