About this space
Mandoon Helena Building is a large hall venue featuring a vaulted ceiling with windows providing gorgeous natural light. The space accommodates a maximum of 70 standing and 50 seated and is suitable for a range of events, including birthday parties, yoga or dance classes, presentations, training programs and art exhibitions.
Mandoon Helena Building is equipped with a large central space, a kitchen, accessible toilets and foyer that opens onto the clocktower courtyard. The kitchen includes a full-size fridge, microwave, stove and oven, urn, cups and saucers. The space comes equipped with 11 trestle tables (150cm x 80cm), 50 chairs, a whiteboard and projector screen. The building is located beside the playground and with easy access to stunning river-views. Private artist studios are also housed within this building.
Please note the space does not have air conditioning, so may be unsuitable for events on very cold or very hot days.
This venue is also available outside of the standard opening hours for events that are open to the public such as community functions, classes, workshops, performances, and club meetings. If you would like to book an after-hours event, contact us to discuss.

Rules
Hire period: There is a minimum two hour hire period.
Rates: Not-for-profit discount rates are available on request.
After-hours events: This venue can be booked outside of standard business hours for events that are open to the public such as community functions, classes, workshops, performances, and club meetings. Private parties, such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and other gatherings are not permitted after-hours as there are no venue staff onsite. If you would like to book an after-hours event, contact us to discuss.
Cleaning: The hirer is responsible for the set up and clean up of the venue. This must be done within the time that has been hired. Hirers must bring their own cleaning products. Rubbish must be removed from venue by hirer. Bins are located onsite beside the Gyinning Ellen Brook Building (formerly known as Administration Building).
Liquor: A liquor licence is required to consume alcohol at Goolugatup Heathcote. This licence must be purchased in-person at least one week prior to the function from Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery or City of Melville Civic Centre. More information: https://tinyurl.com/rkb3tfd
Decorations: No adhesives, stickers, sticky tape, blue tack, etc, are to be attached to walls during decoration. Over time, these damage this heritage building.

Ample public parking is located in the lower car park. There is no parking in the drop off area or clock tower courtyard. Accessible parking spaces are available in the lower car park area. Overflow parking is available on the grassed park below and to the East .
