ActNow Theatre is a South Australian theatre company that tailors socially conscious performance projects. We work with professional artists to engage diverse communities in conversations around challenging and contemporary issues. Our projects have been critically acclaimed, commended in South Australian Parliament, and highly praised by audiences, participants and community organisations. We have a beautiful space on Gouger St with rehearsal rooms, meeting areas, hot-desking, and aircon!

About this space

MakeSpace is a large open rehearsal space in the city. it has a beautiful sprung dance floor, bluetooth speakers installed in the ceiling, and access to its own kitchen area.

Located on the western end of Gouger St, with an entrance down Bailey st, it's tucked away in a quaint little nook of the city.

We have chairs and trestle tables available for use with the booking, and lighting and sound equipment available for an extra cost.

100% refund on cancellations up until 24 hours before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.

Parking and Public Transport Information

MakeSpace is located at 253 Gouger Street, Adelaide.

You can access our space via Bailey Street, which can be reached directly from Gouger Street.

The footpaths around Gouger Street are flat and well surfaced.

Parking

There is limited on-street parking on Gouger Street directly outside the venue and timed-free parking for up to 2 hours may be available in the neighbouring side streets.

You’ll find more extensive commercial parking 100 metres across the road at the Blenheim Street Carpark. They charge $9 for 12 hours of parking.
