About this space
Maddingley Park, known for its historical charm and scenic beauty, features a community-built adventure playground nestled among majestic river redgum trees. As the largest playground in Bacchus Marsh, it attracts both residents and visitors with its extensive play areas, ample seating, sheltered spots and nearby toilets. Conveniently located just a minute’s walk from Bacchus Marsh Railway Station, the park is an ideal destination for a delightful day with family and friends.
While the park’s public areas are not available for booking, its sporting facilities can be reserved. Maddingley Park offers a variety of recreational amenities, including:
• A full-size oval suitable for cricket, AFL and other field activities.
• A secondary oval designated for junior cricket, AFL training and various field activities (Siberia).
• Nineteen tennis courts, comprising nine grass courts for summer use and ten courts available year-round, along with one netball court.
• Five cricket practice nets.
Additionally, the park is home to several sporting clubs and provides fitness equipment for public use.

Prohibited Activities at the Reserve
To keep the Maddingley Park Recreation Reserve safe, welcoming, and game-ready for everyone, please note the following rules:
· No Alcohol – this is a dry zone to support a family-friendly environment
· No Smoking or Vaping – breathe easy and keep the air clean for all
· No Naked Flames – candles, campfires, and open flames are strictly prohibited
· Dogs Must Be Leashed – especially in playground areas for safety
· No Animals on Courts or Ovals – help us protect our playing surfaces

There is free onsite and street parking available. Reserve is accessible by local bus public transport.
