Large multi-purpose function hall in Blockhouse Bay with free parking

Part of the community since 1917, Blockhouse Bay Baptist Church is minutes away from great coffee and is a handy 11 Km to town - accessible by both Western and South-Western motorways. What began as a small mission property, has continued to grow as it has served the community and has brought people together for a variety of events and causes.

This lower hall is the biggest open space on the property and is suitable for events that need room. This space has been used for jubilee celebrations, birthdays, indoor lawn bowls, exercise and art classes as well as our own Light Party Celebrations (an alternative to Halloween Parties). Equipped with its own kitchen, toilets and entrances separate from the rest of the property, coupled with ample parking just outside the doors, the lower hall is perfect for hosting private, intimate gatherings. The space is well-ventilated, gets ample natural light and can be set up in any way your event demands.

Capacity: 250 standing, 120 with tables and chairs (available as part of hire)

Catering & Food:
You are free to bring your own food and use the kitchen space to store or set it up for serving. However, please note that we do not allow the consumption of alcohol on our premises.

Accessibility: There are currently 3 entrances to this hall and all are wheelchair accessible. However, we are working on making the toilets wheelchair accessible as well, which currently require entry and exit via an external door.
