Stunning Brand New Beach Event Venue for Hire and Community Meeting Space

Karekare Surf Life Saving Club is a brand new function and community space situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Overlooked by the famous Watchman ridge and with views out the the wild west coast black sands, this is a truly one-of-a-kind venue. The mission of the space is to provide a professional and contemporary venue for hire for corporate and private events, whilst also creating a welcoming and useful space for our local community.

The venue is open only for Surf Life Saving Club use between Labour Day and Waitangi Day, and weekends until Easter. However, we're happy to take requests for special occasions and discuss the logistics with you. Please message us if you are interested in using the facility during this period.

About Karekare Surf Life Saving Club

Our venue has been completed in late 2021, so benefits from a very modern fit out and a beautiful design that really makes the most of the exceptional views out across Karekare beach. Our beautiful location does bring some practical considerations that you should take into account:

• The venue is about 200m down a dirt track from the Auckland Council car park. This is a beautiful walk on a stunning day, but on a rough weather day you will be exposed to the elements before reaching the venue!
• After dark there is no lighting between the carpark and the venue.
• There is no car parking directly outside the venue. The free car park is provided by council and we can't reserve spaces.
• The operational basement/boat storage below the venue is off-limits to function guests and may be in use if required in an emergency.
• The club is closed to bookings during the surf life saving season - usually Labour Day to Easter. We will consider an exceptional booking e.g. a high value exclusive hire as long as we can still operate the clubs life saving activities during the event. Please message us directly to start a conversation about this. This means our current first available dates are from Easter 2022.
• The club is in a remote beach location. Planning and care is required travelling here after dark or in adverse conditions. There are no shops or cafes in Karekare and the nearest amenities are in Glen Eden or Titirangi.
