Spacious enough camp sites but on the site it says there is water and cold showers available. We stopped at a few of the taps for water and they didn't work/were empty. Managed to find one tap that was working thankfully because the showers pretty much had the water trickling out where you couldn't really rinse off after a swim.

Water is a precious commodity at Sandy Cape, which is why we do encourage campers to come well prepared and as self-sufficient as possible. At this hot and very busy time of the year the limited water supply is in high demand and can struggle to keep up. Perhaps fill up a shower bladder as you come through a town on your way to Sandy Cape next time to avoid this potential issue? Thanks for your feedback.

This is quite a long site. Close to toilets. Although it's on the main track there aren't many sites further north so traffic unlikely to be an issue (most people abandoned this weekend due to weather so didn't experience the high volumes we expected.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
