On arrival someone had already set up in our booked site. Could not find them to ask for them to move. Spoke to Ranger as caretaker office was close. Ranger was really good but advised we head out to the 4x4 area to find a camp site as the same thing has been happening a lot. No point having a booking system if someone can just turn up and take ya spot

We enjoyed this Site. It was close to the 4x4 Bush Camp track and near amenities and also not too far from the main beach up the other end of the Camp Sites. It was also a little sheltered from the wind. This is the sixth time we have been to Sandy Cape and thoroughly enjoy it there. We will be back most likely in the same site if available. Cheers

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
