Great size and location but disappointing to see the amount of rubbish and pet waste that has been left by previous campers. Also some idiot had dumped their chemical toilet in the bush next to the site so we had to deal with that smell too.

Thanks for your feedback Mark. It is indeed very disappointing that some campers are so irresponsible and show no respect for the natural environment or other campers. Our rangers do undertake regular cleanups to keep the campgrounds well-presented. I will share your feedback with them so we can amend the issue at this site. So glad you stay was enjoyable apart from this.

Visited in Jan school holidays midweek and it was very quiet. Love Sandy Cape.

Great spot over Easter long weekend, a little bit of noise as cars go past but quiets down after sundown.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
