Sandy cape is a great place, doesn’t matter which camp site you stay on. Just would be nice if the BBQ’s were working.

Thanks for your feedback Darren. For issues such as this if you are visiting in the future, please let the onsite caretakers or one of the visiting rangers know. They can then arrange for the necessary maintenance if there is an issue. I will forward on your comment.

Nearby toilet block still has Hinge almost off making toilet unusable due to lock. Still need 'street' signs as to which sites are in each loop, this will minimise vehicles going into several loops, heard others complaining about not finding site numbers, above signage could help with this.

Thanks for your constructive feedback Alan. For future reference, if you can immediately report any maintenance issues to the onsite camp hosts, they can either repair the issue themselves or liaise with the Shire to have the issue remedied.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
