Great spot, unfortunately pulled up around 7pm and had someone in our site. They were meant to be in the 4x4 camp area. I was under the impression the reason for adding number plates at booking was so the ranger can confirm who's in what spot. The camp host did a great job of sorting but not ideal for all involved.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
