Awesome camping spot. Experience not so great being required to use a ridiculous app with yet another requirement to share personal data with some random company

Facilities and location is amazing. The opportunity to cheaply book a site right on the beach is a credit to the local shire. Was disappointing to see so many sites empty (>30%), despite being 'fully booked' online. A way to re-allocate these sites to actual users would allow more to enjoy this campsite. I don't have a solution but a small punitive charge and ability for last minute bookings to empty sites might work.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
