A beautiful campground and beach but this particular site is on an angle. I chose this on because it was so close to the beach but in future would choose one further back, even the one next door which is more flat

Beautiful site right next to the beach. A little bit exposed to the main thoroughfare, and headlights can be distracting at night. However if you park across the front of the site, it can shield from wind and excess light. Pretty windy in November when we camped, but unsure how the site during other seasons. Combination of hard packed soil and sand and sloping towards the hill to the beach. About a min walk to the nearest drop toilet. Close to a covered bench.

Unreal place to camp. Gets really windy in the evenings but other than that it’s perfect.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
