I chose a site based on previous knowledge and the aerial photo in the website which was a tree'd area with 45 on one side and 46 on the other. I coose 46 as I had camped there before. However the picture for that site didnt really align with my previous recollection but I put that down to the camera angle. On entering the campground though I quickly realised that the sites had been re-numbered an...

Tim, can you please let us know what aerial photo map you are referring to and where it is located please? The map we have on the booking website is current, with all sites in the main campground marked on it with site numbers. For next time, you can easily see site availability from the Shire's main booking page: https://www.spacetoco.com/org/shire-of-dandaragan/stay This will save you time and any frustration. There is no need to scroll through site by site. We appreciate your feedback.

Bookings was super easy. The site is fantastic. Someone mentioned the traffic past the site but it is not a problem at all. We will definitely be back to 46

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
