Just spent 4 nights at this campground. It is a beautiful spot. My only concern was the description of the site! It states that the site is 12 m x 6 m (suitable as campsite area). It probably is this size but unfortunately the tree at the rear, has branches that encroaches on this space by approx 4 m and the bay rises from front to back by approx 600mm. As a consequence we could not reverse as far back as needed and our drawbar was just off the road. The branch at the rear was also rubbing on the caravan. WE would stay again at Sandy Cape but will book a different site

We snagged a spot right by the beach and it was so beautiful hearing the waves crash as we slept. The facilities are great and well kept. Highly recommend!

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
