Beach has lots of seasweed. We found a good spot though a small lagoon off of the sand dunes. Otherwise very windy, which was common along this whole stretch of coastline BBQ Facilities are average, outside showers ineffective in the wind, toilets are ok. This site (26) gets a lot of traffic as it’s next to the caretakers, but hardly notice. Otherwise good spot, fairly level compared to some of th...

Thanks for your feedback Russell. Much of what you've commented on is part of Mother Nature - or I'm afraid, is poor human behaviour - both of which we have no control over. Glad to hear that Site 28 itself was good and met your needs.

Site 26 is a relatively sheltered level site located next to the camp host. It’s close to the beach, flushing toilets, cold showers and BBQ shelter. Lisa, the camp host is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
