Site was sheltered from SW winds with plenty of space and room to maneuver the van in there. Downside was for the second visit, the showers were out of action again and the toilets were regularly blocked.

Easy booking online. Site 21 was a nice big site for our 8.5m van, quite private with bushes between our site a no 22. Bonus was it was flat so no levelling required. Site is close to toilets (clean) and only a short walk to the beach. Caretaker is lovely and very welcoming. Would certainly pick this site again. Overall the park and beach are lovely, safe beach for swimming and fishing. Dump point and bins available before entering the park.

Great camp overall, with beautiful beach location. Only downside was that Caretaker had his noisy generator running all day and well after dark. The camp erupted in applause when he finally turned it off! Will be back though.

The beautiful Sandy Cape Recreation Park is a coastal bushland campground with 112 unpowered sites accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle. Some additional camping areas are available along the coastal strip to the north and south of the main campground. These areas are only available to campers travelling by high clearance 4x4 vehicle with self-contained accommodation, with toilet.
