Site 12 - Starvation Bay (9m x 8m)
About this space
9m x 8m, located in the Fisherman Camp area, grassy/sandy surface, minimal shade near toilets, beach and short distance to 4WD beach access. Suitable for medium or small caravans, camper trailers, RV, campervans and tents. It is important when booking this site you do extend beyond the beach access way. Please note that as this site is in a corner, may be difficult to reverse in with a larger vehicle if the surrounding campsites are already occupied.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The family and pet friendly campgrounds can be especially busy over Christmas and January with local Vacation Swim Lessons held in the bay commencing the first week of January. Under new strict Education guidelines to enable swim lessons at Starvation Bay, there will be some additional restrictions in place during the hours that swimming lessons are in progress. This will include the temporary closure of the boat launch facility and eastern beach vehicle access from approximately 7.30am - 12:30pm daily. Signs will be in place when closure is in effect and should the lessons not occur or finish early, the signs and barriers will be removed to indicate that access has re-opened. Boat users will need to be in the water prior to the closure and able to return after 12:30pm or if signs have been removed earlier.
Due to irreparable damage to a number of our fire pits, some have had to be removed and we cannot guarantee that a fire pit will be provided on arrival (even if depicted in any images). We recognise that this is one of the attractions of camping and the Shire is currently investigating and budgeting for a replacement program.
