About this space

Community art gallery in the historic township of Tea Tree Gully in Adelaide's north east.

Gallery 1855 studio is available for hire by individuals and community groups for visual art, craft, design or cultural activities.

The studio includes:

Tables
15 chairs
Cleaning material (broom, mop, etc.)
Studio sink
Fridge and kettle

Closed public holidays and during exhibition changeovers.

Rules

Minimum 2 weeks’ notice required. All enquiries and bookings must be made within this timeframe.
You need to be inducted onsite at Gallery 1855 before commencement of your booking.
You will not enter the exhibition areas outside of Gallery open times (Wednesday to Saturday, 12 noon to 5 pm) when the volunteers are available to supervise.
You will not touch or disturb the artworks on display in the exhibition areas.
You will not touch or disturb the reception / office area currently located in the Gallery Studio.
Items within the gallery (e.g. flyers, artwork lists, exhibition comments book, etc.) are not to be moved.
You will provide own cutlery and crockery.
You are responsible for setting up and packing up the venue. All furniture and equipment must be returned to its original location.
The venue is to be kept clean and tidy at all times and left in the original condition it was presented.
Floors must be swept and mopped (equipment supplied). All surfaces including tables and benches must be wiped down. Please bring your own cleaning products.
Rubbish and waste is to be disposed of appropriately using onsite bins. Any excess rubbish must be removed from the venue.
Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times.
Smoking is not allowed inside or within 6 metres of the entrance to the venue.
Decorations on the Studio walls are not allowed and helium balloons must be weighted. Smoke machines are not allowed in the venue.
