About this space
Central green space in Fremantle, directly opposite the Fremantle Railway Station. Its prime location and open layout make it a versatile venue for community activations, pop-ups, gatherings, performances or art installations.

The City reserves the right for declining requests which may impact local business or does not align with the City's strategic vision. Bookings that include temporary food vendors are not permitted due to the close proximity of nearby cafés and shops.
The City does not take bookings for weddings and private gatherings in parks, reserves and on beaches. The public are welcome to utilise these spaces free-of-charge however this is on a first-come first-serve basis. Exclusive use cannot be granted and no guarantees can be made about the availability of these spaces.
No alcohol can be consumed in public reserves and wedding gatherings can have up to 50 people in attendance.
There is no access to power or water onsite, and lighting is limited.

Non-recreational community rate: $19.20 per hour
Non-recreational commercial rate: $34.50 per hour

Rules
Bookings which including infrastructure setup, amplified music, food and drink service etc must seek an approved event permit from the City of Fremantle by completing an event application. Public Liability Insurance is required to be provided to the City before the booking is approved for sporting bodies, clubs, associations, schools, corporations or incorporated bodies and/commercial entities.
No power or water access onsite.
No rubbish to be left on site
No vehicles allowed on grounds without approval
Hirers cannot erect any infrastructure without prior approval from the council. Staking is not permitted. Any infrastructure installed on the reserve must be weighted.
Hirers cannot intrude on the operations of permanent businesses. Complaints will result with future bookings being cancelled.
Signage such as teardrop flag, A-frame billboards, posters etc can only be on display during the booking period.
No amplified music to be played.
No fires (excluding smoking ceremonies). If you are planning to conduct a smoking ceremony, you are required to notify the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) in advance and notify the Bookings Officer. Please be aware that exemptions may be necessary during total fire ban periods, and penalties may apply if approval is not obtained.
The City does not take bookings for private gatherings including picnics, parties, or weddings.
Our parks reserves are public spaces. Every endeavour should be made by the hirer to offer any unused space to the general public to use.
The City of Fremantle reserve the right to reject booking which do not align or may conflict with local business.
