The City of Fremantle is a local government area in the south of Perth, Western Australia. The City covers an area of 19.0 square kilometers and lies about 19 kilometers southwest of the Perth central business district.

About this space

Gilbert Fraser Oval is a historic sporting ground in North Fremantle, and has long served as a hub for football, cricket, and community events.

This booking is for Oval A only. Please refer to floorplan The synthetic pitch (B) is a leased space of the cricket club and not available for external hire.

Changerooms are leased to the North Fremantle Association clubs (NFAC) and are not available for external hirers.

The Changerooms and hall is managed by NFAC. All booking enquiries for the hall are to go directly through NFAC.

Public toilets are available on-site and open from 7am to 7pm. Access outside these hours will need to be arranged by request.

If you require floodlights, please make sure to select. Access instructions will be provided once your booking is approved. Floodlight usage is charged by the hour from 6pm onwards between May to Oct and from 7pm onwards for the remainer of the year.

Educational organisations and non-for-profit groups are eligible for a discounted rate of $2 per hour for the purpose of recreational. To apply the discount, please us the code “ACTIVE RESERVE”. For senior sporting clubs booking on weekends or after 6pm on weekdays, an additional fee of $3 per hour will be added to the discounted rate.

Please find below the fees and charges:

Commercial sports rate (including PT and fitness groups): $15.00 per hour
Commercial sports rate rate after 6pm: $30 per hour
Educational Organisations: $2.00 per hour
Non-for-profit sporting groups: $2.00 per hour

Senior sporting clubs booking on weekends or after 6pm: $5 per hour

Non-recreational community rate: $19.20 per hour
Non-recreational commercial rate: $34.50 per hour

The City does not guarantee exclusive use of parks or reserves, nor permit any area to be cordoned off. In some cases, multiple sporting groups may share a ground simultaneously.

Rules

  • Public Liability Insurance is required to be provided to the City before the booking is approved for sporting bodies, clubs, associations, schools, corporations or incorporated bodies and/commercial entities.

  • Littering is strictly prohibited. No waste is to be left near or on bins.

  • Floodlights must be turned off at the end of your hire - If left on please note you will be charged.

  • Vehicles are not to be driven on reserves under any circumstances without prior approval.

  • No signage, bouncy castles, large marquees/structures, temporary goal posts are to be erected without written consent from the City. Staking is not permitted. Any infrastructure installed on the reserve must be weighted and not staked.

  • No equipment is to be left and stored at the ground without pre approval.

  • No amplified music to be played.

  • No alcohol consumption.

  • The City does not take bookings for private gatherings including picnics, parties, or weddings.

  • No fires permitted.

  • Line marking is carried out by the City of Fremantle at the start of the season only. There after it is the responsibility of the hirer to maintain. Any changes made to markings must be approved by the City of Fremantle.

  • Our reserves are public spaces. Every endeavour should be made by the hirer to offer any unused space to the general public to use.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 7 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
