About this space
This large Community Hall is a light-filled, child-safe and versatile space that is perfect for children's birthday parties, work shops, events, meetings and social gatherings of up to 50 people. The Indoor Room has access to a small outdoor playground suitable for children aged 1 – 5.
*All children must be supervised, including being in line-of-sight, of parent/ guardians at all times. Children using the equipment are the sole responsibility of their parent/ guardian at all times.
The space includes a kitchenette equipped with sink, kettle/ urn, toaster, bar fridge and waste disposal; disability access; and tables and chairs (13 x 6 person trestle tables, 32 hard chairs, and 5 soft chairs, and approximately 20 children's chairs.
The main features of the Community Hall are high-ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a glass decorative window and natural Northern and Eastern light.
Split system heating/cooling and ceiling fans, are available for your thermal comfort.
Wheelchair access is available, as are an accessible toilet.
This versatile, light-filled Community Hall provides a comfortable and welcoming setting where guests can connect, celebrate, and share memorable occasions together.

Rules
Strictly no smoking, gambling or consuming alcohol on the premises, including the (children's) outdoor areas. Music must be turned off from 10pm. No plastic balloons; if possible minimise plastic plates and cutlery. Plenty of crockery and serving platters are available as well as children's partyware.
Please clean up after yourself, especially washing, drying and putting away all cutlery, dishes, glasses and cups. Internal rubbish bins are to be emptied into the large wheelie bins outside, when you leave finished. Please take all contents of your refrigerated items with you.
Please return resources, including those in outdoor shed, neatly as per photos provided. Let Fawkner Neighbourhood House know if there are damaged items and/ or spaces are not left in satisfactory condition.
Failure to honour any of the above will be subject to loss of Bond.

From Fawkner train station, walk 19mins to the Orthodox Church/ Major Rd. Bus 530 (to Coburg), disembark on Bonwick St/ Major Rd for a 1 min walk to Major Rd Community Hall.
From Gowrie Station/ Sages Rd, Bus 536 (to Glenroy). Disembark at Box Forest Rd/ Sages Rd for a 14min walk to Major Road Community Hall.
