Eagle Bay Community Hall: The Perfect Beachside Venue

Set right on the beach, in the daytime it is a bright space of fresh air filled with light and the gentle sound of the ocean. The sliding doors, which form the wall facing the sea, can be moved back to let nature embrace the space. At night there is nothing more romantic than watching a full moon rise over the bay, perfect for an engagement party or wedding.

Eagle Bay Community Hall was created as a social hub for this hamlet, tucked away on the Geographe Bay side of Cape Naturaliste. The architect designed, rammed-earth building was funded by the community of Eagle Bay, supported by grants from Lotteries West and the City of Busselton.

Amenities include reverse cycle airconditioned, a sound system, microphone, TV and wifi.

Ten fold up tables with 80 chairs provide comfortable seating for meals, quiz nights and conferences. There are also fold up round bar tables with 20 high stools for informal gatherings.

A kitchen is part of the hall and contains crockery, cutlery, glass wear, cooking utensils, a glass washer, dishwasher, cook top, two ovens, a microwave and a fridge & freezer. Use of the kitchen is an extra charge and is suitable only for reheating previously prepared food as it does not have a commercial kitchen license.

A new feature is the small lawn which fronts the beach and can be used for overflow guests. This is a public space which can be reserved for use with the hall, not as a separate facility. Care needs to be taken not to damage the essential sprinkler system.

Weddings have a special charge of $2,000 for the full day ensuring exclusive use from 8:00am to 10pm, providing time to set up decorations and extra furniture to make this special day one to remember.

Guests booking the venue for less than a full day can decide if they want to clean the venue themselves or pay a cleaning fee.

A standard bond is $250 for the hall alone, $500 if the kitchen is used and $1,000 if alcohol is served.
