About this space
Darlington Oval, in the heart of Darlington, is a community sports field and community gathering place. This picturesque oval serves as a hub for local sports, outdoor recreation, and community events, offering residents and visitors a beautiful setting to enjoy a variety of activities in a charming, natural environment.
The oval is situated on a recreation reserve that also includes the Darlington Hall, Darlington Tennis Club, a playground, and a free electric BBQ. It is also next to the Darlington Volunteer Bushfire Brigade, Darlington Skatepark, Pump Track, and Community Garden.
Facilities include:
140m x 90m reticulated natural turf sports field
Can cater for senior AFL and cricket
Artificial turf cricket pitch
Seasonal AFL goalposts
50 lux sports floodlighting with two towers and metal halide lamps
Two cricket practice nets
Home and away change rooms, kiosk, and covered veranda
Darlington Community Pavilion
Seasonal sporting clubs operate regularly at this oval and, as a result, casual hire is limited. Please see the Booking Schedule for available times. Applications for organised sporting use/training which conflicts with seasonal sporting codes may be declined.
