The Dandaragan Transit Park is operated by the Dandaragan CRC on behalf of the Shire of Dandaragan. The transit park is adjacent to Pioneer Park and is within walking distance of the general store and the town sporting facilities. Meals are available at the Dandaragan Community Recreation Club (check with the CRC for opening days/times).
About this space
The Fee to stay at the Transit Stop is $20 for two adults and two children per night. If you have additional people staying, you will be able to pay an additional $2 per child and $3 per adult in the checkout process.
There is a maximum of 8 people per site. This is a hard limit for safety reasons.
Dandaragan is nestled amongst one of the last stands of Redgum Trees. The name ‘Dandaragan’ was first recorded in 1850 as the name of a nearby gully and spring or watering hole known as ‘Dandaraga Spring’. The word is indigenous Australian in origin and is thought to mean ‘good kangaroo country’. The town is surrounded by rich farmland and boasts many local attractions.
The Dandaragan Pioneer Transit Park is located in the historical town of Dandaragan.
The transit park has dump point, ablution block, barbeques and is within walking distance to the general store.
Name and Principle Place of Residence is required, date of arrival and date leaving, ( this is already gathered in selecting the charge dates)number plate of car and/or Caravan. Information required under the Caravan and Camping Grounds ACT 1995.
There are no fire pits in the park and lighting of fires is not permitted.
