Historic Legacy
Built in 1912, Cygnet Town Hall has served as the social heart of the community for over 110 years. This heritage building has witnessed generations of memorable moments, from elegant balls and spirited dances in its early days to serving as the local cinema, bringing entertainment and shared experiences to Cygnet residents. It also housed the Police Station, Magistrates Office, Cygnet Court House as well as Cygne Municipal Council Offices.

The Court House Room
Built in 1912, this grand space originally served as Cygnet's Police Court for minor legal matters and doubled as monthly council chambers. Today, it has been beautifully transformed into a spacious multi-purpose venue perfect for yoga classes, workshops, exhibitions, and larger community meetings.
The Magistrates' Office
Once shared by the local Magistrates and Area Warden, this former seat of authority has been converted into an intimate meeting room that comfortably accommodates six people. The space includes convenient storage facilities for regular users, making it ideal for committee meetings, consultations, and small group sessions.
The Police Room
Positioned at the building's front entrance, this small room housed the local Police officer and served as the community's first point of contact for law enforcement. Now beautifully restored, it offers a charming and versatile space perfect for small meetings or as a private office workspace.

Candles or naked flames are not permitted.
Masking tape, blue tac, nails, hooks, staples, gaffer tape or any other fixing device is prohibited on any internal or external walls, doors and floors including the stage.
If food or drinks are to be sold, the hirer must apply for and obtain a Food Permit from Huon Valley Council prior to the event.

Onsite parking is available at the rear of the Town Hall as well as opposite the hall.
Tassielink offer a number of bus services a day in and out of Cygnet with the main bus stop being located in the car park behind the Town Hall.
