Community Recreation Space for Hire in Eastdale Reserve - Ideal for Kids Parties, Fitness…

Eastdale Hub is your neighbourhood space to meet, gather and get together. It is an inclusive shared space utilised by a growing number of community users. This functional space is great for lots of different community recreation activities, gatherings and parties. This space is right on the reserve so a great option if you'd like to use the public reserve space, but have somewhere under cover for rainy days, or to provide shade for your group. This space would suit:

Kid's birthday parties - A real affordable option to have a space to gather for a party. Bring some games and make the space your own. There is a community BBQ nearby, toilets and big mats for seating.

Fitness Groups- A great place to meet regularly for indoor & outdoor fitness. This space can provide a roof over your head for when it's not great whether to use the park.

After school groups, classes and sports - a casual space to host something for kids and teens.

Rehearsing and drama groups - big open space to move around.

The space is basic with mats on the floor and no formal seating, but that's what makes it great for events requiring movement and indoor/outdoor space. There is no wifi (yet) in this facility. It can fit about 30 standing in the covered space, but the carpark and reserve provides plenty more room if not everyone needs to be inside.

Catering & Alcohol

You can bring your own food and there is a BBQ. You can serve alcohol to your guests up to 7pm, but not after, in line with the alcohol policy set by the reserve. You may not sell alcohol as we don’t have a license. We’re within easy distance of lots of takeouts and supermarkets if you want to make catering for your group easy. 

Location

We’re situated on Eastdale reserve near Avondale College and Rosebank School. We have a great kids playground behind the facility and the reserve and large parking lot. The 22R, 138, 191 and 221X buses stop outside the reserve. It’s a 30 minute walk from Avondale train station.

Access

This space is suitable for wheelchair users and there is a disabled toilet. Once your booking is accepted we will message you with how to get access to the room.
