Community Kitchen for Hire in West Auckland for Cooking Classes, Dinners and Events

Our big community kitchen is great if you're hosting an event at Encounter and would like to self cater for your guests. It's also available to be booked for community cooking, cooking classes or batch cooking for private use. It's not a commercial grade kitchen, so you can't sell the food you make here, but it's perfect for private catering.

The kitchen is big enough for about 10 people to move around in. It has enough kit to cater for approximately 150 people. Feel free to bring your own equipment if you need more.

The kitchen has an open serving area where you can serve food from. This is off our main cafe space foyer. External caterers can also use the kitchen for events in the cafe or auditorium.

The kitchen has:

• 2 x 6 burner gas hobs

• 2 large ovens, 1 smaller oven

• Microwave

• 2 pan chip fryer

• Warming cabinet

• Slow cookers and rice cookers

• 1 fridge

• Big metal bowls

• Steriliser/washer

• Hot water boiler

• 2 sinks and draining areas

• Large wooden worktop

• Catering pots, pans and trays

• Crockery, cutlery and glassware

• Big serving dishes

• Tea towels & wash up kit

• Chopping boards and knives

You must book enough time to set up and clean down the kitchen. If you can't commit to leaving the kitchen as you found it, please purchase the cleaning fee.
