Community Kitchen - or community cooking, bulk food prep, classes and recipe testing

Kelston Community Hub is a place where local families can come together to support each other and also a place for ideas to be nurtured. This is a hub of doing, thinking, and supporting our community.

The hub provides rooms for rent during the week and weekends, meeting spaces for organisations and local groups and a healing place for people. The community garden brings people together, both young and old. All our welcome into our supportive and nurturing space. We’d love to help you make your meeting, group or idea become a reality through sharing our hub space.

This is our community kitchen. It's perfect for community dinners, cooking classes, demonstrations, bulk food preparation e.g. for charity, home or sale or kids birthday parties.

The kitchen has crockery and cutlery and food prep equipment, lots of bench space, industrial oven, steriliser, fridge, microwave, 2 sinks and fridge.You must book enough time to clean and leave the facilities as you found them.

Access

The facility is wheelchair friendly. We will contact you with how to access the space on accepting your booking.

Location

Located in the heart of the Kelston community, the hub is on the 015 and 162 bus routes. It has free off street parking. It’s a short walk from the beautiful Whau river and New Lynn town centre
