Chidlow Ovals

Chidlow Oval is situated on a recreation reserve that also includes the Chidlow Oval Pavilion, outdoor tennis, basketball, and netball courts, a rectangle sports field, the Chidlow Hall, and a playground. It is also across the road from the Chidlow Village Green which has free BBQs, a large modern concrete skatepark, a playground, outdoor exercise equipment, an ANZAC memorial, and the Chidlow Community Garden.

📌 Hire of the Oval does not include the Pavilion. Please book separately.

📌 Seasonal sporting clubs operate regularly at these ovals and, as a result, casual hire is limited. Applications for organised sporting use/training which conflicts with seasonal sporting codes may be declined. Please see the Booking Schedule for available times.

Summer season (October through March): Cricket 🏏

Winter season (April through September): AFL Football 🏈

Facilities include:

• 150m x 120m reticulated natural turf sports field

• Baseball pitcher's mound, fencing, and batting cage

• Can cater for senior AFL, cricket, and baseball

• Artificial turf cricket pitch

• Seasonal AFL goalposts

• 150 lux sports floodlighting with six towers and metal halide lamps

• Two cricket practice nets

• Home and away change rooms, large kiosk, and covered veranda

• Chidlow Oval Pavilion (function/club room)

• Large playground
