About this space
The foyer of the much loved local improv institution, the Covert Theatre is open for bookings during the day! The space is perfect for community groups, networking, team briefings, meetings and meetups, team coffee mornings or breakfasts and lots more. The theatre is in the heart of Ponsonby. Just 2 minutes walk from Ponsonby Central's famous food court and so many top 50 cafes and restaurants, this is a foodies paradise. It's also retail heaven with some of NZ's best love brands and indie shops close by.
The foyer space has cozy & comfy booths for informal seating for about 30 people. There is plenty of space to host an event where people need to move around and chat, for example, a networking morning. Our team can be available to serve barista coffees or you can pop to one of our many excellent neighbouring cafes before your event. There is no screen or projector, but the space is great for speaking or briefing a team. The booths also make this a good set-up for cards or game groups. It could also work well for writers workshops.

Bar Staff - Alcohol can only be served if you hire the bar staff (no BYO)
Cleaning Fee - We will hire professional cleaners to clean up for you once your booked session has ended

Kitchenette & Catering: You can bring your own food into the space. You have access to the kitchenette where you can use the microwave to geat food or grab some water. For catering, it's ideal for pizza or takeout from one of the amazing foodie vendors in Ponsonby Food Court. You may use our bins, but please make sure the space is left as you found it, or pay the cleaning fee. Please book enough time to clean up after your event or gathering.
Decorations: Unfortunately there are no decorations allowed in this space. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Personal Belongings: Please take all your personal belongings you bought upon arrival with you once your booked session is over.
Accessibility: The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, and has disabled toilets. The staff will be onsite during your event and will coordinate access and answer questions.

There is on street paid parking all around the theatre. There is also parkable slots and large car parks just a few minutes walk away. There are plenty of public transport options, with many buses including the Inner Link circulating Ponsonby Road.
