This temporary space is provided by Kāinga Ora and aims to provide a welcoming and useful space for community use while we complete the nearby redevelopment of 139 Greys Ave. We hope that the relationships, activities and energy created at our Pop Up can be carried over to our new building when it is completed mid-2023.
About this space
Update: We are now extending our bookings for Tuatahi and Tuarua to April 2023. We are operating week-to-week from 105 Vincent St as we wait for updates on our move to Greys Ave. Due to the nature of our current situation, our bookings may be cancelled at short notice.
We have two separate spaces onsite that can be booked: Tuatahi (the main hall), and Tuarua (a self-contained Portacom). This listing is for Tuatahi - the main hall.
We welcome all sorts of uses of our spaces from workshops and rehearsals, to community meetings and cooking classes. We will entertain almost any idea, however our space is not suitable for children's birthday parties, weddings, wedding receptions, gender reveals, baby showers and parties.

Rules
Please leave the space as you found it - clean and dry your dishes, put your rubbish in the bins provided
If the bin is full, please empty in the large wheelie bins in the back courtyard or take it with you if there's no bin space left
All new users must have an onsite induction with the Pop Up Coordinator before using the space. Our coordinator will cover our User Guide (Access, Usage, Health & Safety, Conditions of Use) with you and once you've signed it, you will be given the relevant access codes to the site
No drugs or alcohol allowed onsite
Our indoor spaces are smokefree, but you're welcome to smoke outside - please dispose of your cigarette butts safely and responsibly

Additional details
The Pop Up is near bus stops on Pitt St, Greys Ave, Mayoral Dr and Hobson St. It's also close to the Hobson St/Nelson St and Newton Gully motorway on/offramps. There are 2 free off-street parks at the front of our building, otherwise there is paid on-street parking available on Vincent St (free after 6pm and all day Sunday - accurate as at 1 April 2022).
