The Apothecary is a much loved institution in the heart of Howick village. Our eclectic part industrial, part European eatery is a versatile space, suitable for all types of functions for up to 100 people. The entire space is available to use for your private function with no hireage fees.

The space has a large bar area at the back, and plenty of space indoors to configure the tables for your event. we can create an intimate, unique private dining experience or we can set up casual eating and drinking spaces. We also have semi covered outdoor space so your celebration can spill out onto the street to soak up the sun and village atmosphere.

The space has varied seating options, a screen and projector, wifi and sound system.

There is a minimum hire of $5500 to book our venue for your event which can be used for drinks and catering for your guests. You can create your own bespoke menu that works for your event - our food is freshly prepared, delicious and beautifully presented. There are plenty of options, from canapes and platters, to buffets, set menus and working breakfast, brunch or lunch. our bar is fully stocked with a range of craft beers, NZ wines and incredible cocktail selection.
